a site map of a pizza website

My Proposal: I would like to redesign and code the front-end for Pizzeria Bianco, a trendy Italian eatery known for serving handcrafted wood-fired pizzas in rustic-chic quarters and arguably the best spot for pizza in Los Angeles, CA.

Mission: The mission of the website is to give those who are interested in dining a Pizzeria Bianco the true Italian pizza experience and feel through their website. I'd love to capture and envision the soul of the restaurant through my design and code, and hopefully help them convert impressions into actual pizza customers. Maybe, by the end, I could send across my designs and basic front-end html & css to them and see if they'd like to use it? That would be cool.

Audience: The audience of this website would most likely be people looking for the best pizza in Los Angeles, CA or customers wishing to make a reservation at the restaurant before coming in.

Content: Based on what they currently have, the website itself will contain a section about their locations, the menu and hours of each individual location, their founding story, an area to make a reservation, and an option to browse from a selection of pizzas that customers can order and have shipped to their houses.

Graphics: Initially, I was leaning a bit more towards an illustration-style type of website, however, after looking a little more closely at their brand identity, I've realized that the majority of the graphics that I'll be including on the website will be actual photos of their pizza, stores, founders, etc...

Overall Design & Style: I'm not entirely sure which direction I'd like to take but I sort of have two visions in my head. One is a super minimalist type of website that's very in-and-out for the customer that portrays the pizza as a very clean, modern company. The second vision is to have a maximalist type of design, actually, as pizza is cool, timeless, and beloved by all. A maximalist design style could help them separate from competitors and might help Pizzeria Bianco better lean into their rustic chic brand identity.
